 Types of Securities  

Securities include stocks, depository receipts issued by the Korea Securities Depository based on the underlying shares of foreign companies, certificate of preemptive right, bonds, Won-denominated bonds issued by foreign corporations, stock index futures and options, and beneficiary certificates.

Money market instruments include commercial papers (CP), certificates of deposit (CD), bonds with repurchase agreements (RP), commercial bills, trade bills, covered bills and bills issued by merchant banks. Of these, foreigners may trade CP, CD, RP through securities firms
